Sereatha Stern

Prior to joining corporate America, Sereatha served in the United States Navy as an active duty commissioned officer for 12 years where she spent the last 4 years as a reservist.  Her time as an active duty officer was spent studying aviation to become a naval flight officer and maintaining a yearly budget of over $44 million managing construction projects and maintenance and renovation of military faciilties.   


In her current role, she is currently focused on partnering with AT&T’s Chief Security Office to identify, drive and implement Big Data opportunities that help improve customer experiences, optimize operations, increase revenue, decrease costs and enable the evolution of Big Data capabilities.   She manages a portfolio that includes security products that supports the Global Fraud Management Organization and has managed portfolios for the Cybersecurity Product Marketing, Security Operations Center, Human Resources, Corporate Real Estate and Environmental, Health and Safety organizations.  

In her many years with AT&T, she has held many diverse roles in Project and Program Management, Product Development, Process Improvement and Engineering.   


Previously, Sereatha served as Associate Director of Flight Operations in the Executive Services organization where she was responsible for developing the strategy for incorporating process improvement initiatives as well as long-term strategic planning for the Scheduling department.   She also held the role of Area Manager in the Network Integration and Deployment organization where she successfully managed the fiber installation for the AT&T (formerly Dallas Cowboys) new stadium complex.  In addition, as a Senior Project Manager in the Converged Services, ConnecTech, Consumer Markets, AT&T Operations and Corporate Real Estate organizations, she was responsible for deploying converged, centralized management solutions that monitor network infrastructure for customers such as United Health Care, American Red Cross and Marriot and Hilton Hotel brands. 


Sereatha also held the position of Lead Design Product Development Engineer with the General Electric Appliances Division where she utilized her Six Sigma process improvement and quality assurance experience to lead an International Core Team that was responsible for ensuring that international design confirmation appliance models were built to satisfy ISO (Internationl Organization for Standardization) requirements.  


In 2012, she was one of only 55 leaders across AT&T to be selected to participate in the 2013 Accelerated Development Program (ADP) – a year- long, intensive AT&T program designed to advance business acumen and increase strategic perspective as preparation for future leadership opportunities.  


Sereatha has received Navy Achievement Medals and Corporate Recognition awards for her focus on collaborative team-building and commitment to meeting customer demands while using creativity and innovation.  In addition, she has obtained the AT&T Cyber Security Fundamentals, Cybersecurity Advanced and Cybersecurity Certificate of Completion Badges through a collaboration between AT&T and Champlain College.  She has also obtained the Professional Cybersecurity Certification and is currently pursing the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification which she expects to obtain in October 2019. 


She holds an MBA with a concentration in Process Improvement and Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Texas A&M University system.    

Sereatha currently resides in Dallas, TX where she mentors youth on fitness, leadership, character building and life goals.  She also travels throughout networking circles delivering motivational speeches to young girls during summer camps, pageants and workshops. Her passion for the last 5 years has been speaking and participating in  STEM focused workshops.
